A big round of applause for Carla and Nick Varney and HiTide Floral Hill Fantasea on their accomplishments during the 2001 National Specialty October 15-20.

Beautifully handled by Nick, "Sydney" was named GMLAC Best In Sweepstakes Winner by judge Beth Speich. The following day she was Open Bitch Winner at the GMLAC regional specialty under judge Marianne Nixon. On Thursday, "Sydney" became ALAC's Grand Futurity Winner under judge Jan Bruton and on Saturday she was judge Michelle Billings' choice as ALAC National Specialty Winners Bitch and Best of Winners and was also selected to receive an Award of Merit.

"Sydney" is now CHAMPION Hitide Floral Hill Fantasea!

Since the National Specialty "Sydney" has been shown undefeated! She earned her 2nd major at the Eastern Dog Club Show, Boston, MA, on 12/9/01 going Best of Winners for 3 points under judge Marcy Zingler.

"Sydney" finished her Championship 1/2/02 at the Greater Lowell KC Show, Fitchburg, MA, taking Best of Winners for 2 points under judge Roy Prado.

Her first weekend out as a special resulted in a Group II win under Mrs. Keke Kahn, 4/14/02 at Rhode Island KC. Breed judge was Mr. Robert Moore.
